These terms govern your use of the ID Scanner iOS application ("the app") published by VisitorsTrack ("we", "us"). By installing, opening or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please uninstall the app.
1. Who can use the app
The app is intended for use by licensed venue operators, event security staff and individuals over the age of 18 with a legitimate need to verify identification documents under the laws of their jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the app is lawful where you operate.
2. Subscriptions and billing
- The app offers auto-renewing subscription plans (weekly and yearly).
- Trials, when offered, are charged at the end of the trial period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription auto-renews until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.
3. What the app does and does not promise
The app uses computer vision and AI to read identification documents and surface details such as age and expiry. It is a productivity tool, not a legal authority. You remain solely responsible for the entry decisions you make. The app does not guarantee that every fake ID will be detected and we make no representation that the app meets any specific regulatory or compliance standard in your jurisdiction.
You agree to use the output of the app as one input among others (visual checks, training, manager judgement) and not as the only basis for an entry, age verification or ban decision.
4. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Use the app to harass, profile or discriminate against any patron in violation of applicable laws.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use the app to scan IDs you do not have legal authority to inspect.
- Resell, sublicense or rent access to the app.
5. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Every scan stays on your device. We do not upload, share or sell biometric data.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION DURING THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, surfacing a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these terms. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which VisitorsTrack is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
